The Lion's Club Wedding | Treasure Island, Florida | C & G

Congratulations to Camilla & Garrett who got married at Treasure Island Beach in March! These two were the perfect start to my spring season with their laid back vibes {and not to mention they are an absolutely gorgeous couple!} After meeting both of them and photographing their engagement session last year I was so excited for this wedding - their engagement photos are still some of my favorites to date! It is fair to say that the sky always erupts in gorgeous shades of blues, purples, oranges and reds when they step foot on the beach. I always have one or two moments from a wedding day that stick out in my mind when I start writing a blog for their special day - one of these moments at Cami and Garrett's wedding was their first look. I had just wrapped up photographing Cami's bridal portraits and we were waiting for Garrett to make his way up the boardwalk to where we were "hiding." He was taking a little bit longer than expected and I remember looking at a very excited and very nervous bride so eager to see her groom for the first time. She kept saying to me, "I'm just so ready to see him!" It isn't often that I spend so much time waiting together just the two of us, and during these moments I get to witness such raw emotion as the anxiety and joy kicks in simultaneously. Once he made it to us and opened his eyes he was smiling from ear to ear. It was hot out, it was bright out and we were standing in the middle of the "beach woods" {if there is such a thing} but their love surpassed all of that. The second moment that I absolutely loved was during the reception toasts. Most of the time the words spoken are very sentimental, but this day seemed like an episode of "Parents Say the Darndest Things!" There were loving and supportive words said, of course, but in addition we had jokes being told {one of them a bit dirty} and the entire room including myself was curious and incredibly entertained! Thank you for the laughs!! By the end of the night my eyes burned and were watering down my face from the sun, sand and wind but as always I am eternally grateful to be a part of your love story Camilla and Garrett!
